FAQs

A direct care dermatology practice is an innovative, growing healthcare model. Our practice does not participate with any insurance or government healthcare program, which means that we are third-party free. Patients pay a reasonable fee for their care in our office at the time of service. We do not work for insurance companies or the government. We work for our patients. Direct care dermatology care is a model of healthcare in which patients pay their provider directly for their medical care. The provider does not bill the insurance company.

Patients usually save money, while experiencing a higher level of care, with a direct care model.

Patients see Ryan Patterson, who is a Dermatology Certified Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of experience. Referral hassles and restricted provider networks are never a concern. Ryan spends the time necessary to address your concerns and will not rush your visit. He will explain your diagnosis and treatment plan in plain language. Since he is third-party free, he does not have conflicts of interest with respect to your care. His priority is what is best for you, not what is mandated by an insurance company.

Every patient is welcome at Le Reve Aesthetics. We welcome all patients regardless of whether or not they are insured or what type of insurance they have. We simply do not bill insurance companies.

Our pricing is transparent. We use time-based billing, just like most other professional services. Since we do not accept insurance, we are able to be transparent about our pricing, and we charge what we say we do. You are still able to use your insurance for prescriptions, lab tests, and pathology. The fees for these services are billed separately by the outside lab or pathology company.

We accept Health Saving Accounts (HSA), Flex Spending Accounts (FSA), cash and credit cards. Payment is due at the time of service.

We welcome Medicare patients at Le Reve Aesthetics Again, we still contract directly with the patient and do not bill Medicare for any of our services. You will be asked to sign a private contract with Le Reve Aesthetics acknowledging that Medicare, Tricare, Medicaid or other government insurance programs cannot and will not be billed for services provided at Le Reve Aesthetics. You may still use your Medicare coverage for all of your other care provided by participating physicians, as well as diagnostic testing, prescription, hospitalization, etc.

Those insured by Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare or other government programs cannot submit claims for reimbursement retroactively. Privately insured patients may attempt to submit claims to their insurer retroactively, however Le Reve Aesthetics makes no representation that you will be reimbursed for these claims. We recommend that you check with your insurance company before submitting any claims. There is a small $10 fee for coded receipts which are required for claims submission.

By eliminating insurance from our practice, we are able to reduce our costs and keep our fees reasonable and transparent. Unlike in a traditional practice, we do not charge an additional amount for every additional service that we provide. There are no surprise bills after the fact. Click to view our Fee Schedule.

Payment is due at checkout for all medical, cosmetic, and surgical visits. We accept all credit, Health Savings Account (HSA), and Flex Spending Accounts (FSA) cards. We will hold your credit card information in our secure processing system at the time of booking. Charges will be applied for no-shows and cosmetic and surgical deposits. HSA and FSA cards must be used for non-cosmetic services. Some procedures may require a deposit at the time of booking.

Absolutely! Le Reve Aesthetics does not contract with insurance, therefore, office visit and procedure fees are paid directly to the practice but you can choose to use your insurance for pathology, lab and prescriptions.

All new patients require a 30-minute visit to review medical history and to receive a full skin examination. Please print off and complete the new patient paperwork available by clicking here or going to the Patient Forms and Policies Tab. Certain appointments such as surgical and cosmetic procedures will require a deposit to reserve your appointment.
